Beldia: The Moroccan Mountain Classic

The History of Beldia

Beldia is a pure landrace strain originating from the Rif Mountains of Northern Morocco. For centuries, local farmers have cultivated this variety for traditional hash production, selecting it for resilience to the mountainous climate and high resin output. Its name, “Beldia,” reflects its deep roots in Berber culture, where it’s been prized both for ritual use and as the foundation of classic Moroccan hash.

Terpene profile: Earthy, spicy, and herbal

Beldia’s aroma is anchored by myrcene, lending a rich, musky earthiness that soothes right from the first sniff. Caryophyllene adds a warm peppery spice, while a touch of limonene weaves in subtle lemon-citrus notes to brighten the profile. Together, these terpenes create a grounding, balanced effect—ideal for easing tension without overwhelming the senses.

Flavors: Cedarwood, sweet herbs, and pepper

On the inhale, Beldia greets you with a warm cedarwood earthiness reminiscent of sun-baked mountain pines. Mid-draw, hints of sweet herbal tea emerge, echoing thyme and wild mint that grow among its native plants. The exhale finishes with a gentle peppery kick—like a dash of black pepper on warm flatbread—leaving a smooth, lingering aftertaste that invites another puff.
